About Me

As of right now, the only OF the Braves have that you’d want to run out there full time is Acuna, and he’ll be coming back from a knee injury. Ozuna may be gone for good, and neither Pache nor Waters are beating down the door for a promotion to Atlanta. Duvall / Acuna / Soler would be a fine starting OF for 2022, at least to begin the year.

I really think teams should ask for more of a discount in exchange for opt outs. Soler seems to have low risk/high reward whereas the marlins have high risk/low reward. In my opinion, that’s how a lot of these opt-out heavy deals are. The OF is kinda in a mess right now because we have so many corner OF. As the roster stands now it’s Cruz as the starter and DeShields coming in the late innings as a defensive replacement. I do wonder if they are doing what many posit on here as a trade deadline acquisition.

Alcantara took advantage of Acuña appearing to be distracted while trying to adjust a sleeve over his left hand. Acuña remained in the game but was picked off first base on a quick throw from Alcantara. Alcantara matched his career high with 14 strikeouts, again dominating the Braves and leading the Marlins to a 4-1 victory Saturday.

They have a 5-4 lead over the Marlins in the season series. April 2, 2017 Kansas City Royals placed LF Jorge Soler on the 10-day disabled list retroactive to March 30, 2017. November 2, 2018 Kansas City Royals activated RF Jorge Soler from the 60-day injured list. September 8, 2020 Kansas City Royals placed RF Jorge Soler on the 10-day injured list retroactive to September 6, 2020. September 21, 2020 Kansas City Royals activated RF Jorge Soler from the 10-day injured list.

The dynamic quarterback is entering the final season of the five-year, $32.5million deal he signed as a rookie in 2018. As expected, Jackson's contract status was a main topic of conversation when he met with reporters following Thursday's final day of mandatory minicamp. Machado finished with three hits – all singles – from five at-bats, taking his batting average for the season up to .328. Read more about buy subscribers youtube here. Have agreed to a three-year, $36M contract,’s Mark Feinsand reports . If Soler doesn’t step down and he meets his 2024 incentive clauses, the total value of the deal will reach $40 million over three years, which isn’t a huge expense compared to other agent deals.

I assume he would rather play full-time, and that might not be likely if the Braves keep Soler and there’s no DH . At the end of each game do you take all those bullshit numbers and decide who won and lost the game? Or do you not waste the time and say the Braves won or lost? Eyes tell you all you need to know, that is if you understand the game.

Soler is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta, Christina De Nicola of reports. Garrett Cooper will handle DH duties in Sunday's series finale while Soler receives some extra maintenance for his back. Part of Miami's low 2021 home run total can be attributed to Miami playing in a pitcher's park. Mattingly doesn't expect the big park to affect Soler's power.

This would leave Brandon Nimmo, Jeff McNeil, Dom Smith, Kevin Pillar and Jose Martinez as the last remaining in-house outfield options under contract. Led by shortstop Jurickson Profar, the top prospect in the game, the Rangers’ farm system is stacked with young talent. Due to the organization’s international scouting presence, they continue to land, year after year, many of the top teenage prospects, such as Profar, from Latin America. Much like the Mariners, the Rangers have both the quantity and quality of talent necessary to execute a significant trade. Since their hiring in October of 2011, Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer have begun to right the ship by revamping the Cubs farm system.
